Writing leads us to a path of enlightenment, and it’s through our writing that we liberate ourselves as we embark on a journey of discovery of the world and our place in it.
This blog is a personal forum for me to muse about writing and the writing life. Each writer’s journey and situation is unique unto him, each road to writing success a different challenge, yet there are plenty of aspects to being a creative writer that all scribes have in common. So that’s what this blog is largely about, others and myself as creative writers sharing in the daily/weekly/yearly struggle — the trials and tribulations of the scribe.
A little bit about me . . . I read. I write. I rock. Occasionally all at the same time.
I am a child of the early 70s and the Midwest, US. I am a published author of various forms and genres of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, geek culture commentary and journalism. I have also been a short story editor and even compiled a fiction anthology, Local Heroes, that was published in the fall 2011. I am currently working on a few fiction projects, all of which I intend to publish in the next couple of years. I’ve been a musician for nearly 30 years, performing/recording in several bands as well as produced several solo projects. I am currently one of the guitarists/vocalist and co-songwriter of the local rock band Neglect the Alarm.
